Enough is Enough

Are you worn out? Tired? Does it feel like you are busy just being busy – wheels spinning at turbo speed, but not accomplishing anything?A2Z-BADGE [2016]

It’s time to say: Enough is Enough!

For the next 30 days we will stop. cease. and be still…and find you are enough. Your worth
doesn’t come from what you do, but who you are.  Will you join me as we expose the lies we have been believing and answer the question, who am I?

The A to Z Blogging Challenge runs through the month of April.  I’ll post one post a day (not counting Sundays) thematically from A-Z as we discover rest and freedom in being enough.

AAdopted

“For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry,“Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15

In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.” Eph 1:5-6

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13]

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” John 3:1

“Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Rom. 8:17

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me so much more that I ever realized.  Help me comprehend what it means to be your child – adopted and loved beyond measure.  Thank you that nothing can separate me from your love. What comfort to know that no matter what I go through, you are my rock, my fortress, my stronghold. Thank you that you give good gifts. Help me to see the good around me.  My dad is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Help me see my worth in who I am in you and not what the world says I am.  I am forgiven, I am redeemed and I am your child.  Thank you, Jesus.  Thank you for the cross.  Amen.

“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matt. 7:11

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,  neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom. 8:38-39

“The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psams 18:2

  1. I am so PUMPED that I get a devotional this month!! Amen! I am so looking forward to seeing what God puts on your heart to share with us in the A to Z Challenge. Funny, I’d hoped to have a theme. Nothing came to me. When I read this, I slapped myself on the forehead.
